GOSPEL PLUS LAW EQUALS LAW!

When we add law works, law programs, and law initiatives to the gospel we do not enhance the gospel, we destroy it.  The end result is not a stronger gospel, but no gospel at all.  Jesus plus law makes of the gospel just another human program, driven by individuals and glorifying man’s efforts to build man’s empires. The gospel is more than sufficient in and of itself to not only justify us, but also to sanctify and glorify us.  The gospel is the sole motivation needed to create strong and healthy disciples and churches.   We do not need more incentives and brilliant strategies engineered by human ingenuity.  We need a more resplendent view of who Jesus is and what we have already received in Him.
