GOD'S LOVE INSCRIPTION

The ultimate aim of divine revelation is LOVE (1 Tim. 1:5). The character of this very particular love is revealed in Gal. 5:22 - JOY is love's strength, PEACE is love's security, PATIENCE is love's endurance, KINDNESS is love's conduct, GOODNESS is love's character, FAITHFULNESS is love's confidence, GENTLENESS is love's humility, SELF-CONTROL is love's victory (The Open Bible). YOU are the scroll upon whom God writes this love letter (2 Cor. 3:2). Your HEART is the only substance on earth able to receive this divine inscription (2 Cor 3:3). All our religious discussion, teaching and activity are utterly meaningless if we fail to present our hearts to the purposes of God's LOVE inscription (1 Cor.13:1-3). The Spirit continues to write on our hearts as we behold Christ (2 Cor. 3:18).
